ARCHITECTURE
THE LAST HOUSE OF ARCHITECT KOYCHEV
RESUME
The paper reviews residential buildings from Sofia in the architectural work of Pencho Koychev. Archival graphic and photo materials are used to present his last known project which was a villa in Kniajhevo for the Mincoff family, finalised around 1935. The work proceeded in stages that still reflected its author’s expressive mastery. The cultural and historic value of the preserved building is assessed. This expands a previous study from 2016? with information acquired in recent years. A modest but valuable object from the period of national romanticism in Bulgaria architecture from the first half of the 20th century has been revealed.
